Field Service Engineers
Our field service engineers are specialists in the electronic payment arena. They have an indepth knowledge of card-acquiring devices from a variety of suppliers such as Verifone, Sagem, Xentissimo and Spire (formerly Hypercom), with the ability to install and configure all such products.
We will arrive on site fully equipped with a laptop, a range of tools and any spares issued by our clients. We can make and test serial and network cabling, provide photographic site surveys and undertake end-user training.
Depending on the location our staff will be appropriate dressed and, if required, will wear clothing bearing our clients logo.
We have an extensive knowledge of various hardware platforms from VME systems, running 68000-series Motorola processors, to the latest Intel based servers.
In addition, various clients have chosen to use TRITEC to support their installed base of bespoke hardware products. We're happy to train our staff to support a specific system or peripheral.
Starting with DOS, we have been involved with supporting systems running almost every version of Microsoft Windows. We've also gained valuable experience of various versions of UNIX and Linux including Steve Job's NeXTStep.
We do not claim to be experts in all these operating systems. We are however, capable of installing and configuring a system to provide your own staff with remote access.
In addition to be being conversant with all popular Microsoft products, we are happy to familiarize ourselves with our clients bespoke applications.
Where required our engineers will carry copies of our clients software. Should the need arise we have the ability to reinstall and configure the operating system and/or application. This eliminates the need for a second site visit and ensures the end-user is 'up and running' in the shortest possible time.
Stock Control and Management
TRITEC engineers use large unmarked estate cars which enables them to carry a service stock of our clients equipment. In the event of a critical hardware failure we can provide an instant replacement, thus reducing end-user downtime to a minimum.
We offer our clients the option of storing spare units in our secure warehouse. This central stock-holding is used to replenish the field-service engineers' car stock. A stock inventory is produced on a monthly basis. For contract clients this service is offered free of charge.
As an additional service we offer a bench repair and testing facility. Faults with suspect units can be confirmed before being either repaired, or returned to the manufacturer under warranty. We can also pre-configure items prior to installation.
